Zwilling Pro knives are recommended for both professional and domestic use, thanks to their efficiency, ergonomics and ease of maintenance!
This set is ideal for cutting and serving. It contains :
- 1 18 cm meat fork
- 1 slicing knife 20 cm
The fork lets you lock the meat in place while it's being cut, while the slicing knife lets you make precise slices! Then use the fork to grip the slice and place it on the serving dish or plate.
Zwilling has developed stainless steel with a higher carbon and chromium content. This increases corrosion resistance and strength. In addition, the blades have been forged using Zwilling's own SIGMAFORGE process: they are designed on a single piece of steel, which avoids too many welding points, thus increasing strength and balance.
In the end, Rockwell hardness is around 56/58 HRC: the knife's cutting edge not only performs well, but is also easy to maintain (a few strokes on a Sharpening steel and you're done).
The heat treatment of the blades of this fork and slicing knife is based on FRIODUR tempering. This process, unique to Zwilling, consists of immersing the steel in ice to immediately lower its temperature. The aim is to further increase the strength and hardness of the steel, for an impeccable finish.
The final sharpening performed on the knife is in Profil V-Edge (with a "V" shape), at 15° on both sides of the blade (cumulative 30°). The cutting edge is sharp, and rivals even some Japanese knives! In this way, food fibers are not broken, but sliced cleanly, for a respected taste.
The handles are made of black synthetic material, with 3 rivets securing the full-silk blades inside. Comfort is optimal for both left- and right-handed users. The slightly curved Bolster forms the link between the steel part and the handles. It's soft and pleasant, and gives your fingers a firm grip.
Italian designer Matteo Thun has created the sleek style of the Zwilling Pro range. Their sober, classic design makes them timeless pieces.
The pieces in this set can be cared for by hand, then wiped dry after washing to avoid leaving them in contact with moisture.
