This professional sponge knife from the Colour Prof range features a 25cm serrated blade in NITRUM®stainless steel. This special alloy developed by Arcos is enriched with nitrogen to increase the blade's resistance to corrosion.
The blade also benefits from ICE PLUS treatment, which consists of cold quenching (-80°) the steel after the usual hot heat treatment. This gives the blade a higher hardness of 57 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This is a very good compromise between edge retention and ease of sharpening.
The handle is made of sturdy polypropylene overmolded with non-slip rubber, providing the comfort needed for long-lasting work. Each Colour Prof knife comes with a set of 6 coloured discs to clip onto the end of the handle to differentiate the knives according to your needs. In fact, you can assign a color to a function, to avoid cross-contamination.
What's more, the handle's plastic has been given a special antibacterial treatment called Bactiproof® (silver-based): it is 99.9% effective against the proliferation of bacteria. It is also resistant to temperature variations. So you can equip yourself with Arcos Colour Prof knives, which meet NSF standards to guarantee safe use!
With designs dating back to 1745, Arcos is an international benchmark in cutlery. The knives are designed in Albacete, Spain, and are the fruit of a blend of traditional know-how and innovative industry technologies.
