A set of 3 stainless steel kitchen knives
The set contains the following knives:
- 1 8cm paring knife: for peeling, chopping and slicing small fruits, vegetables and herbs;
- 1 small 12cm santoku knife: for cutting medium-sized fruit, vegetables, meat and fish;
- 1 chef's knife 20cm: for slicing, chopping and mincing large vegetables, meat and fish.
The blades of these 3 kitchen knives are made of 4Cr13Mov stainless steel, an alloy enriched with molybdenum and vanadium. They achieve a hardness of 56 HRC on the Rockwell scale, and thus have a certain flexibility that enables them to withstand shocks and bone contact without the risk of breaking.
You can maintain the sharpness of your knives by sharpening them regularly with a Sharpening steel before each use.
The surface of the knife blades features a printed damascus pattern. The blades have been polished to a mirror-like finish.
Pakka wood for sturdy handles
The handles of the knives are made of dark pakkawood, a composite of laminated wood and resin, all heat-compressed. This solid material gives the handles a natural look thanks to the wood grain. The stainless steel bolster and base perfectly complement the handles and add an aesthetic touch.
The oval shape of the handles is ideal for both right- and left-handed cooks. This shape offers an ergonomic and comfortable grip, suitable for long cutting sessions in the kitchen.
These Kutoyama knives are made in China, and 3 black blade guards are supplied to protect them.
To care for your knives, wash only by hand and dry immediately to remove all traces of water before placing in a dry place. Never leave them to soak in the sink, and never put them in the dishwasher.
