A Kiritsuke knife with a damascus blade
The Kiritsuke knife is a multifunctional knife for a multitude of cuts! With its kiritsuke tip, you can be even more precise. As with a chef's knife, you can slice your vegetables, chop your meat or chop your herbs with ease! Be careful not to cut hard foods such as squash or bones.
This knife features a damascened blade composed of 66 layers of flexible stainless steel surrounding a more rigid core made of Japanese VG10 steel.
This alloy contains around 1% carbon, the element that increases the blade's hardness. As a result, it reaches 60HRC on the Rockwell scale. This steel is also enriched with chromium and molybdenum.
Your cutting edge can be easily maintained with a Sharpening stone or, more regularly, with a Sharpening steel.
The blade has been polished for a mirror-like effect, revealing the superimposition of the different steels all over its surface.
An original handle for this kitchen knife
The handle is made from brown pakka wood, a composite material of laminated wood and hot-compressed resin. You benefit from the strength of the composite while retaining the natural grain of the wood.
Three acrylic rings complete the handle, adding a touch of color. A stainless steel Bolster and base are also integrated into the handle.
The handle is almost oval in shape, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed cooks! It offers a comfortable grip, ideal for long cooking sessions.
This damask knife is made in China and comes in a box for optimum protection!
To care for your knife, wash it exclusively by hand, dry it immediately afterwards and store it in a dry place. It is essential not to put it in the dishwasher or leave it to soak in the sink.
