This nakiri knife is perfect for cutting vegetables! With its wide blade for easy slicing, you can make a wide variety of cuts: sticks, dices, slices and more. Be careful not to use it on hard foods such as squash or frozen foods.
This knife features a blade with a damascus structure: here, 66 layers of flexible stainless steel are added around a more rigid core.
The core of this kitchen knife is made of VG10 Japanese steel, an alloy enriched with approximately 1% carbon. This element increases the blade's hardness to 60HRC on the Rockwell scale. This steel is also enriched with chromium and molybdenum.
Your cutting edge can be easily maintained with a Sharpening stone, or more regularly with a Sharpening steel.
This blade has been polished, and you can see the superimposition of different steels all over its surface.
The handle is made of brown pakkawood, a composite material made from laminated wood and resin that have been heat-compressed. So you get the strength of composite with the natural look of wood grain.
Then, 3 acrylic rings complete the handle to add color. A stainless steel bolster and base are also added.
The handle is almost oval in shape, to suit left- and right-handed cooks. It offers a comfortable grip that comes in handy during long cooking sessions.
This damask knife is made in China and comes in a box for optimum protection!
To care for your knife, wash it by hand only, dry it immediately and store it in a dry place. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave to soak in the sink.
