Sabatier knows how to use its many years of experience to manufacture knives worthy of their reputation. The company designs knives using a perfect blend of ancient know-how and innovative methods. It offers quality blades to professional chefs and passionate amateurs alike.
The Provençao series of kitchen knives is ideal for everyone, and perfectly blends modernity and rusticity.
The blade of this 30cm salmon knife is made from high-grade stainless steel, to be both shockproof and corrosion-resistant. The selected stainless steel is nitrogen-reinforced. This process gives you a longer-lasting cutting edge, since hardness is improved.
The blade is also forged, i.e. shaped from a single piece of steel. This process requires a certain amount of know-how, and ensures robust knives by avoiding sticking points between parts. You can feel this when you weigh the knife, which is heavier, fuller and therefore more comfortable to hold.
What's more, the honeycombs running along its cutting surface make for easier cutting, as the hollows in the honeycombs are designed to create micro-bubbles of air, preventing food from sticking to the blade.
The handle is original: it's made of olive wood, which is the wood most representative of Provence (hence the name of the knife series). It gives you an ideal grip, and great resistance over the long term. This strength is further enhanced by the 3 stainless steel rivets that run right through the handle, giving the whole knife a pleasant balance.
Each knife is also unique, since the handle is taken from a different part of the wood each time. The grain is specific, the color warm and deep. Olive wood has a distinctive scent that is instantly recognizable.
The knives in the Provençao series are fine creations, bringing together the very best of French cutlery. They are as effective as they are aesthetic, and will be long-lasting additions to your kitchen equipment.
