Composed of 3 layers of steel (a hard layer surrounded by a layer of soft steel on 2 sides), the blade is called San Mai, and offers you a hardness of between 56 and 58 HRC on the Rockwell scale.
What's more, this blade features a hammered finish across its entire cutting surface, which, in addition to being aesthetically refined, allows you to take advantage of the air micro-bubbles created by the dimples to benefit from sharper cuts.
The handle is ergonomically designed for long-lasting comfort. Its shape adapts perfectly to all palms. It also features 7 points running along its surface, reminiscent of the 7 Samurai virtues (such as loyalty, duty and courage).
