Description

This Kai Shun Premier Tim Malzer cutlery set takes your meals to the next level!

Kai is a Japanese brand renowned the world over for its high-quality kitchen knives used by top chefs. Kai knives feature ultra-sharp blades and ergonomically shaped handles. Kai cutlery is no exception to the rule!

The set contains :

- 1 fork 21cm

- 1 steak knife, smooth blade 13cm

This knife features a blade with a core of VG-MAX steel, one of the best alloys of VG steels. This steel is based on the VG10 alloy, to which carbon has been added for rigidity, and chromium for corrosion resistance. This composition enables the steel to achieve a hardness of 61 HRC on the Rockwell scale. Also containing cobalt, tungsten, vanadium and molybdenum, the steel is tough. Its fine grain means it can be sharpened precisely when needed. This knife's cutting edge is long-lasting.

The core is surrounded by 32 layers of Damascus steel to resist corrosion. The knife's cutting surface is hand-hammered during forging. This technique, known as Tsuchime, gives the knife a highly original and distinctive design, while at the same time making it non-stick. In fact, the hollows and bumps created by hammering act in the same way as honeycombs.

The fork has 4 tines for easy gripping of food. With a total length of 21cm (including a 10.5cm handle), it forms a very elegant ensemble with the knife, thanks to the damascus and hammering.

This cutlery is fitted with a walnut handle whose curved shape has been designed to be both ergonomic and robust. This makes the cutlery suitable for both right- and left-handed users. Their shape fits perfectly in the hand in a very natural position. What's more, the base engraved with chef Tim Malzer's symbol brings balance and originality to your cutlery.

We recommend washing your cutlery by hand, taking care not to get the walnut handles wet. Wipe them dry and store them in the elegant wooden box they come in. This box also allows you to give this cutlery as an elegant gift!
