Designed and manufactured in Germany
Since 1731, Zwilling has been designing and manufacturing quality knives and utensils for professional and amateur cooks. The Four Star range, created in 1976, is Zwilling's best-selling knife series worldwide. The company has improved its production tools to meet the growing demands of the culinary professions.
The 20cm blade of this chef's knife is made of stainless steel. This alloy has benefited from a special treatment, as it has been enriched with chromium and carbon. This step gives the material greater corrosion resistance and strength. The blade is forged using the cutlery industry's own SIGMAFORGE process, which produces a solid, durable full tang blade. The blade is then cold-hardened using FRIODUR technology, making it even more durable.
Finally, the blade is shaped for ultra-efficient cutting. The wire has a V-edge profile (cumulative angle of 30°). Thanks to this, the blade glides through the food for effortless cutting. This versatile chef's knife is equally useful for cutting large vegetables such as cauliflower, as well as finely chopping herbs and condiments. It's the all-purpose knife!
The quality of the 12.9cm handle is therefore of paramount importance for comfortable use of your knife. Zwilling has opted for a high-quality synthetic material laid directly on the tang, which it surrounds perfectly. The result is high strength and durability. What's more, the forged bolster prevents your fingers from slipping on the blade for added safety.
We strongly recommend that you clean this knife by hand and then dry it immediately with a soft cloth. This will preserve the knife's high quality cutting edge and beauty for a long time to come.
