The Zwilling Pro series of kitchen knives has been designed to meet the needs of both professionals and home enthusiasts. These knives are ergonomic, high-performance and stylish! Efficiency with every cut...
This paring knife is widely used in the kitchen. Its small blade makes it easy to handle, and allows you to cut or peel small fruits and vegetables. It's a model much appreciated by chefs.
Its 8cm blade is made of stainless steel, which has been enriched with carbon and chromium. This more intense concentration further enhances the knife's corrosion resistance and hardness.
In fact, its final hardness is between 56 and 58 HRC, so the edge remains marked, but the steel is still easy to maintain, for example with a Sharpening steel. A few passes over it and you're done. In addition, this blade has been forged using Zwilling's own SIGMAFORGE process: the blade is formed on a single piece of steel, which avoids too many welding points, thus increasing the knife's strength and balance.
The blade is heat-treated using the FRIODUR method: the steel is immersed in ice to bring its temperature down very quickly. The aim is to further increase the steel's strength and hardness, for an impeccable finish. This technique also perfects the cutting edge, giving it a slight suppleness that makes it pleasant to use.
Sharpening is carried out using a V-Edge profile (i.e. a "V" shape), at 15° on each side of the blade (a total of 30°). The cutting edge is sharp, and rivals even some Japanese knives!
The junction between blade and handle is made by a slightly curved bolster, soft and pleasant in the hand (a brand innovation, adding a design touch).
The handle is made of black synthetic material, with 3 rivets to secure the full tang blade. Comfort is optimal for both left- and right-handed users.
Beyond its performance, this knife series is also notable for its style, developed by Italian designer Matteo Thun. The design of these knives is of course at the service of ergonomics, but there's no denying that it adds cachet to the range. It's a perfect blend of classic and modern.
To care for your knife, we recommend hand-washing it and drying it with a soft cloth, to maintain its appearance and performance.
Zwilling, a German cutler in business since the middle of the 18th century, has accumulated years of experience, to offer you today kitchen knives at the top of reliability and efficiency. Don't hesitate to choose the Zwilling Pro range!
