Fukito Ebène X50 knives are perfect for all cooks!
Fukito knives are designed in the Guangdong province of Western China. This location has been historically linked to knife production for decades. Each Fukito knife is designed with techniques and materials that meet the manufacturing standards of French food industry professionals.
Details of the 5 knives:
- 1 9cm paring knife: a handy model ideal for peeling and slicing small fruits and vegetables
- 1 15cm universal knife: same as the paring knife, but larger, making it suitable for larger items
- 1 15cm boning knife: specially designed for meat. Thanks to its fine blade and marked guard, it enables precise and efficient removal of meat from around the bones.
- 1 18cm alveolar santoku knife: the Japanese-style all-purpose knife. Its slightly curved blade creates a natural rocking motion for easy cutting.
- 1 21cm chef's knife: the all-purpose knife for chopping, chiseling and mincing foods (meat, fish, vegetables, etc.).
Blade :
The blade is made of German X50CrMov15 stainless steel, an alloy widely used in professional applications for its many advantages. To begin with, its 15% chromium content makes it more resistant to corrosion. Secondly, its other components are well balanced: the vanadium content, for example, counterbalances the carbon content, adding "flexibility" and making it less brittle.
Finally, its edge durability/sharpness and quality/price ratios are excellent.
The blade has also been vacuum heat-treated. This process is advantageous because, in the case of standard heat treatment, certain elements present in the air can react with the metal and have a negative impact on the blade. This is particularly true of oxygen and hydrogen. Heat treatment therefore takes place in a protected atmosphere, free of all elements, so that the blade retains its full potential.
The blade has an attractive satin finish. The bolster is in stainless steel, with a gentle slope for an easy, natural grip.
The handle :
Made from ebony. Often considered precious, this wood offers durability in the face of repeated use, while at the same time providing good resistance to humidity. It has been hand-polished by an expert for a softer, more pleasant feel.
The wood grain is unique to each knife: wood is a living material, so every knife will be different.
The 3 rivets join the blade to the ebony wood. For an original touch, the central rivet represents an elegant copper mosaic that contrasts perfectly with the dark ebony.
The stainless steel cap at the end of the handle completes the knife's balance. The handle is suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
How to care for your knives
We recommend hand-washing with a sponge and mild detergent. Once the knife is clean, wipe it dry immediately to remove any traces of moisture, then store it. Do not use the dishwasher, or soak the knife in the sink.
The case in detail:
Made from black polyester, this case is tough and durable. This thick material guarantees greater security for your accessories, while remaining light to carry. Thanks to its 9 slots, each 13cm long, you can insert the handles of your knives and utensils. Each of these slots is closed by an elastic band, into which you can easily insert knives, marys, spatulas and more. A top Velcro fastener secures longer knives and utensils.
Once the Velcro is in place, a large polyester flap protects all your equipment. The flap is fully covered to prevent direct contact with the blades when opening the case. This ingenious flap features 2 additional storage pockets for an apron, phone charger or notebook. Finally, to fold the case, simply roll it up and close it with the clips.
