Description

Suehiro is a specialist in sharpening stones and sharpening utensils. Hailing from Japan, Suehiro develops accessories for professionals and hobbyists alike! Suehiro sharpening stones are renowned for their efficiency and durability. With Suehiro, you can be sure that your favorite knives will be well cared for, to reveal their full cutting potential!

Model:

This Suehiro Debado S 8000SNE stone is developed using a firing process that means it contains no synthetic binder. Thanks to its durability, it is particularly recommended for professionals, but is also suitable for domestic use!

Its #6000 grain is considered very fine. It is therefore suitable for knives whose edge needs to be polished, in a razor-sharp manner. Such a grit is more suited to high HRC knives, which are capable of withstanding such a finish. Steels that are too "soft" won't really see any lasting advantage.

Slightly thinner than the other stones in the Debado range, the S series offers excellent value for money!

How to use it :

It's considered non-absorbent, so it just needs to be moistened, which saves you time (no need to immerse it for ten minutes or so before use).

After a few passes of your knife over its surface, you'll notice a small colored sludge forming, and this is perfectly normal. This "sludge" is even essential, as it helps to sharpen the knife, so don't clean it during the process.

Once you've finished using it, you can rinse and clean it with a small, soft brush. Wipe it with a dry cloth, then leave it to dry in a room at room temperature (keep it out of the sun so that it dries faster).

Good to know:

- The stone is attached to a white base.

- A transparent box with feet is available, enabling you to stabilize the stone during use. It's removable, so you don't have to use it if you prefer to place the stone on a cloth, for example.

- A small Nagura stone is supplied to create the famous slurry that facilitates the stone's action. As we've said, this reinforces the stone's abrasive power, and therefore increases its effectiveness.

Please note: the stone's dimensions may vary by a few millimetres, and its weight by a few grams, which is perfectly normal.
