The Fukito Ebène X50paring knife is a small, indispensable kitchen knife. Use it to cut, chop or peel small fruits and vegetables. With its small, easy-to-handle blade, you'll soon find it useful every day.
This Fukito knife features a German X50CrMov15 stainless steel blade. This alloy is often used in professional settings, as it offers many advantages. First of all, its 15% chromium content makes it highly resistant to corrosion, a real asset in a moist environment such as the kitchen. We can also note that the elements of which it is composed are very well balanced (for example, its vanadium content balances its carbon content to add "suppleness" and make it less brittle). Last but not least, we can mention its excellent durability/sharpness and quality/price ratios.
The blade is also vacuum heat-treated. This process is advantageous because, during standard heat treatment, certain elements present in the air can react with the metal, even during quenching. This is the case, for example, with oxygen, hydrogen... And this can have an impact on the blade. Here, heat treatment takes place in a protected atmosphere, free from all elements. As a result, the blade can be processed to its full potential.
A stainless steel bolster links the blade to the handle. Its gently sloping surface makes for an easy, natural grip.
The handle is made of dark ebony. This wood, often considered precious, offers excellent resistance to repeated use and humidity. It has been hand-polished for a soft, pleasant feel, even over time. Please note that the grain is unique to each handle: wood being a living material, the nuances and grain are different from one piece to another.
The blade is joined to the ebony by 3 rivets, so the materials are held together perfectly. For an extra touch of originality, the central rivet features an attractive copper mosaic that contrasts perfectly with the ebony.
A stainless steel cap finishes the handle and balances the knife's weight. The handle is suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
Each Fukito knife comes in a magnetic box, so you can give it as a gift (or treat yourself). Once you've used it, you can store it in the box.
For maintenance, we recommend hand-washing with a sponge and mild detergent. Once the knife is clean, wipe it dry immediately to remove any traces of moisture and store it. Do not use the dishwasher or soak it in the sink.
Fukito knives are made in the Guangdong province of Western China. This is a place with a long history of knife production, and has been for decades. Each Fukito knife is designed using techniques and materials that meet the manufacturing standards of French professionals in the food industry.
