Fukito knives are made in the Guangdong province of Western China. This location has been historically linked to knife production for decades. Each Fukito knife is designed with techniques and materials that meet the manufacturing standards of French food industry professionals.
The Fukito Ebène X50 boning knife is ideal for meat processing. In fact, it makes it easy to remove meat from around the bones. Its fine blade with marked guard is easily inserted under flesh for efficient, precise work.
Blade :
The blade is made of German stainless steel: X50CrMov15, an alloy highly appreciated for its durability and ease of maintenance, both in washing and sharpening. In fact, it's a steel often used in professional environments! Its advantages include its high chromium content (15%), which makes it more resistant to corrosion. What's more, since its constituent elements are perfectly balanced, it is more resistant (for example, its vanadium content balances its carbon content, which adds "suppleness" and makes it less brittle).
Finally, its edge durability/sharpness and quality/price ratios are excellent!
It's worth noting that the blade has been vacuum heat-treated, an advantageous procedure since, during standard heat treatment, elements present in the air can react with the metal (this is notably the case for oxygen, hydrogen...) and this can have an impact on the blade. For this knife, heat treatment takes place in a perfectly protected, element-free atmosphere: the blade therefore retains its full potential.
The result is a satin-finish blade.
The blade continues on to a stainless steel bolster, which forms the link with the handle. Its gently sloping shape gives the knife an excellent, natural grip.
The handle :
Made from ebony, this wood is often considered precious, and offers excellent durability in the face of repeated use. It is also highly resistant to humidity, making it ideal for use in the kitchen! The handle has been hand-polished for a soft, pleasant feel.
Ebony wood veins are unique to each knife. As wood is a living material, each knife is unique and different!
The blade is held to the ebony handle by 3 rivets. For a unique and original touch, the central rivet is a beautiful copper mosaic that contrasts wonderfully with the dark side of the ebony wood.
The stainless-steel cap at the end of the handle completes the knife's balance. The handle is suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
Each Fukito knife comes in a beautiful magnetic box, making it easy to give as a gift (or treat yourself).
Care :
We recommend hand-washing with a sponge and mild detergent. Once the knife is clean, wipe it dry immediately to remove all traces of moisture and store it. Do not use the dishwasher or soak the knife in the sink.
Maintain your knife with a suitable Sharpening stone!
