With Suehiro, you can be sure that your favorite knives will be well cared for, to reveal their full cutting potential!
This Suehiro Debado S 2000SNE stone is designed using a firing process that means it contains no synthetic binder. Thanks to its durability, it is particularly recommended for professionals, but is also suitable for domestic use!
Its #1500 grain is considered medium/high. It is suitable for most knives, for finishing or regular maintenance, depending on the hardness of your blades.
Slightly thinner than the other stones in the Debado range, the S series offers excellent value for money! Please note: the stone's dimensions may vary by a few millimeters, and its weight by a few grams - this is perfectly normal.
Its surface is non-absorbent, so it just needs to be moistened, which saves you time (no need to immerse it for ten minutes before use).
You'll notice a small colored sludge forming after a few passes of your blade over its surface, and this is perfectly normal. This "sludge" is actually very important, as it helps to sharpen the knife, so don't clean it during the process.
Once you've finished using it, you can rinse and clean it with a small, soft brush. Wipe it with a dry cloth, then leave it to dry in a room at room temperature (keep it out of the sun to dry faster).
Further information :
- The stone is attached to a non-removable white base.
- A small Nagura stone is supplied to create the famous slurry that facilitates the stone's action. As already mentioned, this reinforces the stone's abrasive power, thus increasing its effectiveness.
- A transparent box with feet is available, enabling you to stabilize the stone during use. It is removable, so you don't have to use it if you prefer to place the stone on a cloth, for example.
