The powerful and precise Fukito Chinese chef knife
The Fukito 17cm Ebony Damascus hammered Chinese chef's knife is a robust, versatile knife inspired by Asian tradition. Its wide blade can slice, chop, chisel and even crush certain foods such as garlic or ginger. This Chinese chef's knife is capable of handling large ingredients with fluidity and stability. It also seduces with the elegance of its damascened and hammered blade, and the quality of its ebony wood handle.
A wide, precise blade with high-performance steel
The Fukito Chinese chef's knife has a 17cm blade built around a 67-layer damascus steel structure. The core of the blade is made of 10CR15COMOV stainless steel, an alloy containing around 1.05% carbon to ensure a hard cutting edge, and 15% chromium for excellent resistance to oxidation.
This composition gives the blade a hardness of around 60 HRC on the Rockwell scale, ideal for keeping the edge sharp for a long time, while ensuring good flexibility in intensive use. It also enables fine sharpening, facilitating clean, precise cuts on all types of food.
66 layers of softer stainless steel are applied around the core to protect and stabilize the blade, while forming the typical damascus pattern. The upper part is hammered, providing a refined visual contrast, but also reducing stickiness when cutting wet or greasy foods.
Last but not least, the blade has a flat cutting edge, ensuring clean, precise insertion into food, and is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users.
A refined, comfortable ebony handle
The handle of the Fukito knife is made of ebony, a noble, dense and naturally moisture-resistant wood. Its deep black color contrasts with the lines of the damascened blade, for an elegant, timeless look.
The wood is carved into an oval shape that guarantees a stable ambidextrous grip, even during repetitive tasks. The handle also ensures long-lasting comfort, even with intensive use.
A gilded brass ring reinforces the junction between blade and handle, adding a touch of luxury. Finally, the stainless steel bolster and base ensure optimum balance and structural strength, prolonging the knife's life.
