A Japanese knife for precision vegetable slicing
The Zwilling Gourmet 17cm nakiri knife is ideal for fast, efficient vegetable preparation. Inspired by Japanese knives, it features a tall, rectangular blade perfectly suited to vertical cutting. Designed and manufactured in Solingen, Germany, this model combines Zwilling 's historic expertise with the versatility of an Asian knife, offering precision, balance and comfort with every use.
A 17cm forged blade for clean cuts
The blade of this Zwilling nakiri knife measures 17cm long by 4.4cm high, offering a large cutting surface for easy chopping and transferring of food. Made from Zwilling's special formula stainless steel, enriched with chromium and carbon, it boasts excellent resistance to corrosion and wear.
This knife is forged according to the brand's standards, ensuring a dense structure, optimum strength and perfect balance. The FRIODUR® heat treatment, obtained by cryogenic quenching, raises the steel's hardness to around 57 HRC, to guarantee a long-lasting edge while retaining the flexibility needed to avoid breakage.
The laser-precisionV-edge grinding optimizes the cutting angle for a clean, even edge, ideal for cutting both soft and firm vegetables without crushing them.
An ergonomic, reliable handle
The 11cm handle of the Zwilling Gourmet knife is made of high-strength black ABS, a material that is light, strong and insensitive to moisture. Its Western shape with curved heel ensures natural support in the palm of the hand and optimal control when cutting, reducing fatigue even after prolonged use.
Three stainless steel rivets securely fasten the handle pads to the tang, ensuring lasting hold and good balance. The symmetrical design makes it perfectly suited to both right-handed and left-handed cooks.
