Description
This Nagura Suehiro NGR-30 stone has a grain size of #3000.
It should therefore be used on sharpening stones with grits between #3000 and #8000.
It fulfills two missions:
- First, to create the sharpening "slurry". Indeed, when you sharpen a knife or other cutting utensil on a stone, the friction of the materials creates a kind of liquid, which helps to sharpen your workpiece, increasing the stone's efficiency. The Nagura stone allows you to create this slurry before placing the knife on your stone. As a result, you save time and increase efficiency!
- Polish the surface of your whetstone after use. This keeps the surface clean, so it remains effective over time.
The Nagura stone needs to be soaked before use, for around 5 to 10 minutes. Once it's ready, you can move it up and down, or in small circles.
Important: the stone's dimensions and weight may vary slightly, which is normal :)
