A knife specially designed for vegetables
The 17cm nakiri knife from the Zwilling Pro range combines versatility and precision for all vegetable work: you can cut, chop and slice quickly. True to the spirit of the traditional Japanese nakiri, it features a tall, rectangular blade ideal for vertical cuts. Forged from a single piece, this model ensures smooth operation and perfect control, for professional or demanding amateur use.
A 17cm forged blade for smooth cutting
he 17cm blade is made of special Zwilling stainless steel. Robust, it is forged according to the SIGMAFORGE® signature process and features a dense structure, remarkable balance and great stability. It benefits from FRIODUR® treatment, a cryogenic hardening process that gives it a hardness of almost 57 HRC, ensuring long-lasting sharpness and enhanced corrosion resistance.
V-edge laser grinding, with a sharp angle of around 15° on each side (≈ 30° total), guarantees a clean, even cut through vegetables. The square shape of the nakiri promotes a natural, effortless vertical cutting gesture, perfect for stacking slices and working vegetables with precision.
Ergonomic handle for prolonged cutting
The 12.5cm handle, made from high-density synthetic material, is designed to withstand moisture, shock and intensive use. Featuring a Western shape with a curved heel, it offers immediate comfort and good support in the palm.
Three stainless steel rivets hold the handle plates securely to the tang, and the stainless steel bolster ensures safety and balance. The symmetrical shape of the handle makes it suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
Designed in Milan by the Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez studio, the knife's elegant, timeless design will accompany you through many cuts. Its characteristic curved neck (kropf) adds elegance and ergonomics to the knife.
