A wide format for greater efficiency on the board
The Sakin Wusaki Chinese chef knife is designed to offer great versatility in the kitchen. Its high blade allows you to work efficiently on a wide range of preparations, from vegetables to boneless meats and herbs. It offers a generous cutting surface, ideal for a rapid succession of movements. Its height also makes it easy to recover food after cutting and transfer it directly into a container.
This format favors flat work, with direct, stable movement. It fits perfectly into everyday use, providing both comfort and efficiency. Supplied in a storage box, it is easy to protect or give as a gift.
A wide, stable blade for controlled cutting
The 19cm blade features a 6.5cm height for stability and control when cutting. It enables you to work with precision on large volumes, while maintaining good control of the gesture.
Its core is made of10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel, containing around 1.05% carbon. This composition ensures an even, efficient cut, as well as good resistance to oxidation. The blade reaches a hardness of around 60 HRC, enabling it to retain its cutting qualities over time, even under sustained use.
The blade is reinforced by a damascened structure of 67 steel layers, which enhances its overall strength, gives it a little cutting flexibility and creates visible wave patterns across the entire surface.
Theflat cutting edge facilitates direct insertion into food and a clean cut. The kiritsuke tip provides extra precision for fine cuts or finishing.
A handle designed to accompany every movement
The handle is made of resin injected with carbon fiber and gold leaf nuggets. The term Sakin, meaning "gold dust", evokes the visible inclusions of gold-leaf nuggets that give the knife its visual identity.
The resin provides a stable, moisture-resistant surface suitable for regular use. It protects the integrated elements while ensuring a comfortable grip.
Carbon fiber reinforces the overall structure of the handle, while gold flakes create a unique visual effect. Each piece features natural variations.
Its Western shape with bevelled base ensures a fluid grip and good control during prolonged cutting.
The resin inserts are attached to the tang with two stainless steel rivets and a central brass mosaic rivet, for a sturdy assembly. The stainless steel bolster reinforces the junction with the blade, while the stainless steel base contributes to the overall balance.
Enjoy your knife every day
Wash your Wusaki damascus blade knife by hand with a soft sponge and conventional soap. To preserve the materials, do not soak in the sink or dishwasher. Dry the blade immediately after cleaning to limit any traces of moisture. Use a wooden or synthetic board to preserve the cutting edge.
Use a flat movement, without excessive tilting, to take full advantage of the blade's height when cutting. To maintain its performance, you can sharpen it with a stone as soon as the cutting edge loses its effectiveness. Store your knife in its case, on a magnetic bar or in a suitable block.
