Description

Precise cutting to bring out the best in your vegetables

The Wusaki Sakin nakiri knife is specially designed to work vegetables evenly and efficiently. Its rectangular shape ensures clean, precise cuts, with no rocking motion, for a more direct, controlled vertical movement.

Its 17cm high blade offers excellent working comfort. It enables precise slicing, chopping and carving, while facilitating the transfer of food from the board to the container. This knife combines cutting performance and striking aesthetics, with a damascened blade featuring visible patterns and a handle incorporating gold flakes. It comes in a practical storage box for protection or gift-giving.

A high blade for vertical cutting

The blade of this nakiri stands out for its height of 5.1cm, ideal for vegetables. It enables precise vertical gestures, particularly suitable for fine slicing or julienne cutting.

The blade core is made of 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel, containing around 1.05% carbon. This composition provides a clean, even cut, while ensuring good corrosion resistance. With a hardness of around 60 HRC, the blade retains its cutting performance over time, even with repeated use. Stone sharpening is also easy.

67 layers of stainless steel damascus cover the core of the blade. This reinforces the whole and creates visible wave patterns on the surface. This construction enhances the blade's overall strength.

The flat cutting edge favors direct penetration into the food, producing even slices with good gesture control.

A balanced handle for comfortable use

The handle is made of resin injected with carbon fiber and gold leaf nuggets. The term Sakin, meaning "gold dust", echoes the visible inclusions that give the knife its visual identity.

The resin provides a stable, moisture-resistant surface suitable for frequent use. It protects the integrated elements while ensuring a pleasant grip.

Carbon fiber reinforces the structure, while gold flakes add a unique visual touch. Each handle has a slightly different look.

The Western shape of the handle, with its bevelled base, ensures a natural grip and good control when cutting.

Two stainless steel rivets and a central brass mosaic rivet secure the handle. The stainless steel bolster reinforces the junction with the blade, while the stainless steel base contributes to the overall balance.

Using my knife day after day

Wash your nakiri damascus steel knife by hand with a soft sponge and neutral soap. To preserve the materials, do not use a dishwasher. Dry the blade immediately after cleaning to avoid any traces of moisture. Use a wooden or synthetic board to maintain good cutting quality.

Use a vertical motion, without excessive tilting, to take full advantage of the nakiri's shape. Store your knife in its case, on a magnetic bar or in a suitable block. Use an appropriate stone to sharpen your knife whenever necessary.
