Stainless steel blades with damascus printing
Here are the knives in the set:
- 1 paring knife 8cm: for cutting and peeling small foods (fruit and vegetables);
- 1 nakiri knife 17cm: for fast, vertical cutting of vegetables;
- 1 chef knife 20cm: for cutting fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, herbs, etc.
All three knives feature 4Cr13Mov stainless steel blades, an alloy reinforced with vanadium and molybdenum. Their hardness reaches 56 HRC on the Rockwell scale, giving them a certain flexibility to withstand shocks and contact with bones without risk of breakage.
To maintain the sharpness of your blades, you can use a sharpening Sharpening steel on a daily basis to sharpen them before each use.
The surface of the blades features a printed damascus pattern and has been polished to a mirror-like effect.
Sturdy pakka wood handles
The knife handles have an oval shape designed to suit both left- and right-handed cooks. Their ergonomic shape provides a comfortable grip for efficient work during long kitchen sessions.
The knives have handles made of dark pakkawood, a composite material of laminated wood and resin, which is heat compressed. This solid material gives the handles a natural look thanks to the wood grain. The stainless steel bolster and bolster harmoniously complement the handles.
These Kutoyama knives are made in China and come with 3 blade guards for optimum protection.
To maintain the condition of your knives, wash only by hand and dry immediately to remove any moisture before storing in a dry place. Never put them in the dishwasher or leave them to soak in the sink.
