The handle of this damask knife is made of resin, a durable and resistant material. The blue resin complements the light-colored wood at the base of the handle. A black and yellow ring between bolster and handle adds a touch of color. A stainless steel bolster and base complete the look.
The almost oval handle is equally suited to right- and left-handed cooks, providing an ergonomic grip even during prolonged use in the kitchen.
This chef's knife features a damascened blade with a rigid steel core, wrapped in 66 layers of stainless steel. The blade is polished for a mirror-like effect and features distinctive damask patterns.
The blade's core is made of VG10 steel, an alloy containing around 1% carbon. This element increases the blade's hardness, reaching 60HRC on the Rockwell scale. VG10 steel is also enriched with chromium and molybdenum for enhanced strength.
Thanks to this hardness, the cutting edge can be maintained with a Sharpening stone or, more regularly, with a Sharpening steel.
This kitchen knife, made in China, comes in a box.
The chef's knife is a versatile model that's ideal for a variety of cuts! Whether you're slicing vegetables, mincing meat or chopping herbs, the chef's knife comes in handy. Just be careful not to use it on hard foods such as squash or bones.
To care for your Kutoyama knife, wash it exclusively by hand and dry it immediately before storing it in a dry place. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave to soak in the sink.
