The versatile openwork chef knife
This chef's knife is a highly versatile kitchen knife, suitable for a wide range of foods. Whether you're chopping, slicing or mincing meat, fish, fruit or vegetables, this knife will meet all your needs. Its 18cm blade is also perforated, enabling you to cut wet or greasy foods without them sticking. The knife is suitable for all non-hard (boneless) and non-frozen foods.
The blade is made of stainless steel enriched with vanadium and molybdenum to increase its resistance to corrosion and shock. With a hardness of 57 HRC on the Rockwell scale, this steel guarantees your Satake knife a long-lasting edge and easy sharpening.
When necessary, you can sharpen the blade daily with a Sharpening steel, or sharpen it with a stone from time to time to keep it razor-sharp. A hardness of 57 HRC offers a good compromise between efficient cutting and easy sharpening.
Lightweight, easy-care handle
The knife's handle is made of polypropylene (PP), a resin known for its lightweight yet robust construction. PP is also resistant to water and grease, making it perfect for a kitchen knife as it is easy to clean.
The handle has an oval shape designed to fit the palm of your hand. This shape is both comfortable and ergonomic, making the knife perfect for prolonged cutting, minimizing the sensation of fatigue.
A stainless steel ring completes the handle and provides the link with the blade. This ring firmly attaches the handle to the tang of the knife, ensuring a perfect seal and optimum balance.
To clean your Satake knife, use only a soft sponge and wash by hand. Dry it immediately after washing and store it in a dry place. Do not soak in the sink or put in the dishwasher.
