Wusaki Pakka X50 kitchen knives are recommended for all cooks, whether professionals or discerning individuals, who wish to equip themselves with quality on a daily basis. Both the components and the manufacturing processes are designed and chosen for their performance, durability and ergonomics. An efficient, modern design adds to all these advantages, making them as pleasing to the eye as they are to use. Wusaki Pakka X50 knives are a no-compromise choice at an exclusive price!
This 20cm chef's knife is a multi-purpose knife that is highly appreciated in the kitchen. It can be used for a wide range of cuts, on meat, fish, vegetables, fresh herbs... You can slice, chop or mince your food with ease.
The blade is made of German X50CrMoV15 stainless steel. This steel is highly appreciated for its long-term durability and ease of maintenance (sharpening and washing). It has a chromium content of 15%, making it resistant to corrosion. Its carbon content is 0.5% (for hardness), and it is also enriched with Molybdenum and Vanadium (which will affect its impact resistance and elasticity, making it less brittle). In fact, its final hardness is around 56/58 HRC on the Rockwell scale, a good compromise between edge life and maintenance. For example, you can maintain its cutting quality with our selection of Wusaki sharpening stones.
The upper part of the blade is hammered with a press, creating unique patterns on each blade. In addition to its elegant appearance, hammering is recommended to increase the knife's non-stick properties (as would be the case with honeycombing).
The brand logo is laser-engraved on the cutting surface with a glossy finish. Its V-edge cutting edge is formed on a strip of leather at a 15° angle. Penetration of food is clear. Food is cut with precision, and its fibers are not broken or damaged. The knife's cutting quality is noticeable from the very first use.
The handle of this Wusaki knife is made of Pakkawood. This composite material is highly appreciated in the kitchen for its durability and strength. It is composed of laminated wood and resin, all compressed at high temperature. The overall result resembles natural wood due to the unique veins running across its surface.
Pakkawood is not only antibacterial, but also resistant to temperature variations and humidity (it is reputed to be rot-proof). It has been varnished for extra protection against moisture and stains. Its simple, straight shape makes it comfortable to use for both right- and left-handed users! Its highly original red sheen highlights the blade's hammered steel, and the cap engraved with the Japanese character "Tiger" at its tip. Wusaki handles are made slightly longer than the current cutlery market average, to be more comfortable to use whatever the size of your hand.
Finally, we can mention the simple yet effective design of the Wusaki Pakka X50 knife: the combination of materials and colors makes it an exceptional and timeless piece.
This Wusaki knife comes in a high-quality black box decorated with a tiger, which protects it from shocks. The elegant box makes it easy to give as a gift (or treat yourself, of course).
Wusaki knives are manufactured by a small company located north of the city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province in Western China. This province is historically renowned for its knife-making expertise. Wusaki expertise is entirely governed by French manufacturing standards established for professionals in the sector.
For maintenance, we recommend gentle hand-washing in lukewarm water with a mild soap. You can then wipe the knife with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place. Please note: on delivery, the knife blade is lightly coated with protective oil. Simply wash before 1st use to remove.
